ALTON - Luis Philip Diaz, 63, died Saturday, July 16, 2011, at McAllen Heart Hospital in McAllen. He was born to Felipe G. Diaz and Angelica de Charles Gonzalez on July 8, 1948 in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon.
He is survived by his wife, Susan Diaz; children, Angel Elizabeth Diaz, Philip Estevan Diaz, and Faith Angelique Diaz, all of Alton, Jose Luis Diaz of Edinburg, and Luis Philip Diaz II of McAllen; three grandchildren, three sisters and a brother.
The funeral service will be held Thursday, July 21, at 2 p.m. at Virgil Wilson Memorial Chapel in Mission. Interment will follow at the RGV State Veterans Cemetery in Mission.
