OBIT-Victoria Solis

MISSION/ANGLETON - Victoria Solis, 85, passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 11, 2013 at St. Luke's Episcopal Hospital in Houston.

Mrs. Solis was born on Oct. 27, 1927, in Cerralvo, N.L., Mexico. She raised her family in Mission and moved to Angleton in 2005.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Emma Antonia Solis and Gregorio Solis Sr.; siblings, Eva Gonzalez, Gregorio Solis, Antonia S. Martinez, Francisca Solis and Victor Solis.

Victoria is survived by two daughters, Maria Elena Rodriguez of Angleton and Margarita Renteria of Mission; siblings, Guadalupe Solis and Julia Garza; and four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Friday, Sept. 13, from 3 to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. rosary at Ric Brown Family Funeral Home in Mission. The funeral mass will be held on Saturday, Sept. 14, at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Mission. Interment will follow at Laurel Hill Cemetery in Mission.
