OBIT-Maria E. Salinas

MISSION - Maria E. Salinas, 69, passed away on Wednesday, July 17, 2013 at McAllen Medical Center.

Mrs. Salinas was a lifelong resident of Mission and a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.

Survivors include her husband of 42 years, Manuel Salinas Jr.; son, Manuel Salinas III; siblings, Azucena Billman, Olivia Garza and Alicia Martinez; and a grandson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jose and Felicitas Martinez, and a daughter, Oralia Salinas.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 18, from 1 to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. rosary at Ric Brown Family Funeral Home in Mission. A funeral mass will be held on Friday, July 19, at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe in Mission. Burial will follow at Laurel Hill Cemetery in Mission.
