MISSION - Francisco "Panchito" De La Fuente passed away Sunday, April 17, 2011 at his residence surrounded by his family. Born in Rayones, N.L. Mexico, he had lived in Mission for the past 32 years.
He is survived by his wife, Maria P. De la Fuente; children, Francisco (Maria) De la Fuente, Patricia (Arturo) Atuna, Maribel (Rogelio) Reyes, Jorge (Yolanda) De la Fuente, Aaron (Esther) De la Fuente, Cecilia (Gabriel) Espinoza, Eliodoro (Alejandra) De la Fuente, Erika (Jose Jesus) Coronado,
and Maria Angela (Juan) Rodriguez; and a sister Lupe De la Fuente; and 21 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Mr. De la Fuente was preceded in death by a grandson, Martin De la Fuente; parents, Eliodoro and Eloisa De la Fuente; brothers, Jose, Pablo, Jesus and Juan De la Fuente; and a sister, Benita De la Fuente.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 19, 2011 from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. with a rosary recited at 7 p.m. at Ric Brown Family Funeral Home in Mission. The funeral mass will be held Wednesday, April 20, at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Mission. Internment will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens Cemetery in McAllen.
