PENITAS - Jose Santos de la Garza, 79, passed away Sunday, Feb. 3, 2013 at Life Care Hospital in McAllen. He was born to Jose Santos de la Garza and Victoria Elizondo on May 8, 1933 in Reynosa Diaz, Tamps., Mexico.
Survivors include his daughters, Josefina Zamora and Juanita Garza; sons, Jaime de la Garza and Jose Santos de La Garza Jr.; sister, Luisa Perez; brothers, Juan de la Garza and Manuel de la Garza; and 15 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, Feb. 5, from 2 to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. rosary at Lord and I Memorial Chapel in Penitas. The funeral mass will be held Wednesday, Feb. 6, at St. Michael's Catholic Church l in Los Ebanos. Interment will follow at Los Ebanos Cemetery.
