OBIT-Aurora Garcia

MISSION - Aurora Garcia, 89, passed away Saturday, Nov. 24, 2012 at her residence in Mission. She was born in Edna on March 5, 1923 to Margarito and Dolores Ayala.

Survivors include her children Karol Virginia Montes of McAllen, Rolando Garcia, Jr. of Mission, Aurora Hernandez of Mission, Judy Garcia of Mission, Wendy Quintanilla of Mission, Heidi Ortiz of Mission and Jennifer Montemayor of McAllen; and 22 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Rolando Garcia Sr., her parents and three sisters.

The funeral service will be held Tuesday, Nov. 27, at 2 p.m. at Ric Brown Family Funeral Home in Mission. Burial will follow at La Piedad Cemetery in McAllen.
