MISSION - Albino "Al" Trejo Jr., born on May 14, 1937, passed away on Sunday, Oct. 28, 2012 in Edinburg.
Mr. Trejo worked as a truck driver for Consolidated Freight and was a member of the Teamsters Union #988.
Survivors include his wife of 28 years, Guadalupe Trejo; children, Alberto Trejo, Christina Talamantez, Sobey Smith-Rebollar, Kelly Smith and Rachel Armendariz; siblings; Luis Trejo, Alfonso Trejo, Esther Morgan and Amado Trejo; and 13 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Albino and Candelaria Trejo; sister, Angelita Cerda; and a son, Renaldo Smith.
Visitation will be held from 3 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 1, at Legacy Chapels, 4610 S. Jackson Rd. in Edinburg. A rosary will be held at 7 p.m. The funeral mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 2, at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in McAllen. Interment will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Mission.
Pallbearers will be Ricardo Cerda, Jaime Cerda, Gilbert Cerda Jr., Alfonso Trejo Jr., Rolando Trejo and Abel Trejo. Honorary pallbearer will be Gilbert Cantu.
