OBIT-Sgt. Michael Anthony Salinas

PALMVIEW - Sgt. Michael Anthony Salinas, 28, an active member of the U.S. Marine Corps, passed away Friday, July 27, 2012 in Hawaii. He was born on July 7, 1984 to Aurelio Salinas Sr. and Maria Anna Salinas in McAllen.

He is survived by his wife, Yuki Salinas of Hawaii; daughter, Elisè Salinas of Hawaii; mother, Maria A. Salinas of Palmview; brothers, Aurelio Salinas Jr. of La Joya, Eric Christopher Salinas of Mission, Jacob Daniel Salinas of Palmview.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Visitations will be held Friday, Aug. 10, from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. with a rosary at 7 p.m. at Lord and I Funeral Home in Penitas. The funeral mass will be held Saturday, Aug. 11, at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Sullivan City. Interment will follow at Los Ebanos Cemetery.

Marines from Detachment, Company C, 1st Batallion 23rd Marines, will conduct full military honors.
