PLANO/LA JOYA - Kenneth James Leo, 48, passed away Friday, April 27, 2012, after a three-year battle with brain cancer.
A graduate of the Marine Military Academy in Harlingen and of The University of Texas at Austin, he served for 11 years in the U.S. Marine Corps, attaining the rank of major. For the next 14 years he worked as a manufacturing supervisor with BICC General in Plano and then with Texas Instruments in Dallas.
He is survived by his wife, Cheryl; children, Rachel and Ryan; parents, James and Lydia; sister, Theresa Leo Gontarek; and a brother, Leo James Leo III.
A rosary will be held on Wednesday, May 2, at 7 p.m. at Ric Brown Family Funeral Home in Mission. A funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday May 3, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Mission. Interment will follow at the Rio Grande Valley State Veterans Cemetery.
