OBIT: Marcelino Turrubiates

MISSION — Marcelino Turrubiates, 92, passed away Friday, Jan. 6, 2012 at Mission Regional Medical Center. He was born on April 17, 1919 in Rio Verde, San Luis Potosi, Mexico.

Survivors include his children, Juanita Loredo, Jose Luis Turrubiates, Raul Turrubiates, Alicia Garcia, Maria Guadalupe Espinoza, Roberto Turrubiates, Jaime Turrubiates, Roberto Turrubiates, and Sylvia Cardoza; 22 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

Mr. Turrubiates was preceded in death by his parents, Meldeades and Sixta Turrubiates; wife, Maria De Los Angeles Turrubiates; and son, Marcelino Turrubiates.

The funeral service was held Jan. 10 at Flores Funeral Home Memorial Chapel in Mission. Interment followed at Valley Memorial Gardens Cemetery in McAllen.
