OBIT: Pedro Marroquin

MISSION - Pedro "Pepe" Marroquin, 85, passed away at Rio Grande Regional Hospital in McAllen on Sunday, Dec. 25, 2011.

He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Julia Marroquin of Mission; children, Mary Solis of Mission, Linda Carrera of Mission, and Art Marroquin of Chicago; 13 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren; and a brother and a sister.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Jose Angel and Hermelinda Marroquin, and sons, Pedro Maroquin Jr., John Marroquin, and Joe Marroquin.

A funeral Mass was held Dec. 29 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Mission. Burial followed at Valley Memorial Gardens Cemetery in McAllen.
