MISSION - Ricardo Sanchez, 78, passed away Saturday, Nov. 12, 2011 at Falcon Lake Nursing Home in Zapata. He was born in La Joya on April 3, 1933.
Mr. Sanchez is survived by his sons, Ricardo Sanchez, Rafael Sanchez, and Roberto Sanchez; daughter, Esmeralda Martinez; brother, Lucio Sanchez; sister, Refugia Sosa; and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Valentin and Elena Sanchez; wife, Sara G. Sanchez; and son, Rene G. Sanchez.
A funeral mass was held Nov. 16 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Mission. Interment followed at the RGV State Veterans Cemetery in Mission.
