MISSION - Audelia "Gail" Sanchez, 65, passed away Saturday, September 10, 2011, at her residence in Streamwood, IL with her family by her side. Audelia was born on September 16, 1945 in Granjeno.
She was the beloved wife of 49 years to Gilberto Sanchez; loving mother to three children, Nelda (Sixto) Reyna, Gilberto Jr. (Veronica) Sanchez, and Annette (James, Sr.) Farmer. She was the proud grandmother of five grandchildren; Erica (Tom) McKinley, James Farmer Jr., Gilberto III, and Selena and Jacquelina Sanchez. Audelia will be lovingly remembered by one great-grandchild Jamilyn McKinley; siblings, Esperanza "Hope" (Gregorio) Avila, Irma (Jesus) Lopez, brother Juan (Eulalia) Garza, Maria Elena (Jim) Clark , Miguel (Pauline) Garza Jr.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Consuelo Infante, and her parents, Miguel and Inocencia Garza.
Visitation will be held Saturday, Sept. 17, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Ric Brown Family Funeral Home Chapel in Mission. A special reading will be held at 1 p.m. The funeral mass will be held at 3 p.m. at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Granjeno. Interment follows at Granjeno City Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be Jesus Lopez Jr., Jesus Garcia Jr., Dario Garza, Michael Sanchez, Miguel Garza III, and David Garza. Honorary pallbearers will be Gary Gonzalez, Joel Gonzalez, Aidan Gonzalez, and Gregorio Avila.
