MISSION — The Mission FFA Senior Chapter Conducting (parliamentary procedure) team had a very successful round of competitions this fall. The team placed first at the district, regional, and state semi-final competitions. At the state finals held last weekend, the Mission FFA conducting team placed sixth out of 242 teams competing at the Texas FFA State Leadership Development events held at Sam Houston State University in Huntsville.
In the last four years, the Mission FFA has been district champions four years in a row, area champions for three years and first in the state semi-finals two years in a row. They have also placed in the top 10 at the state competition three out of the last four years.
The team consists of Abraham Weaver, member; Christian Quintero, reporter; Vanessa Calderon, member; Dulce Alvarez, president; Jennifer Quintero, secretary; Alejandra Reta, vice president; Ashley Guerrero, advisor; Miguel Ceron, sentinel; J.C. Martinez, treasurer, Renata Bazan, member and FFA advisors Benito Garza and Rolando Gonzalez.
