MISSION — A home invasion victim was arrested last week for allegedly hiding a kilogram of cocaine, said local authorities.
Video surveillance from the home invasion showing five men breaking into the home two weeks ago also revealed Marvin Douglas, 32, handing his wife a brick of something white, said Mission Police spokesperson Cpl. Manuel Casas. The wife left the house with the item and returned before they called the cops.
Douglas was arraigned Wednesday and charged with a felony drug possession for the kilogram of cocaine. His bond was set at $550,000.
After the home invasion, Casas said it was important to get the men who broke into the home first because the men were armed. These were people that we don’t want out on the streets, he said.
Earlier this week, Casas said when events like this happen it is most likely bad guy on bad guy. Very rarely does a good guy get hit like this. Now they know there was more going on, he added.
The five men participating in the home invasion have been arrested. Two of the men have been arraigned on aggravated robbery charges. One man was also arraigned for possession of a controlled substance – cocaine and marijuana.
