The mother told Mission Police the last time Aaron was seen was Dec. 6, 2012, behind their house located on the 2000 block of Washington. Police and family have spoken to friends and no one has seen him since.
According to authorities, the family said Garcia was intoxicated and after an argument with his parents he left the residence, walking toward an irrigation canal. Police have been searching the area for any signs that Garcia may have fallen into the canal. Family told police that Garcia did not know how to swim.
Authorities have also been talking to the irrigation department and Mission Fire Department Dive team in case a search becomes warranted.
An acquaintance has also told police that she recently saw Garcia. The acquaintance said she saw Garcia at a posada in Hidalgo on Dec. 18. Authorities are trying to corroborate the story by talking to others that may have been at the location.
For the past three months, Garcia had been staying at a friend’s house nearby to his parents. Garcia has left home before, but only for days at a time.
He was last seen wearing white shorts and a grey T-shirt.
Garcia is also wanted by juvenile probation for graffiti. Mission Police Chief Martin Garza said this might be a reason Garcia has not returned home.
Garza said their first concern is bringing him home to his parents.
The Mission Police Department is asking for your help in locating Garcia. If anyone has any information on the whereabouts of Aaron please call the Mission Crime Stoppers at 581-8477.
