Summer and fall semester registration is underway for The University of Texas-Pan American and South Texas College.
The University of Texas-Pan American registration for the Summer I, Summer II and Fall semester registration deadlines are June 5 for Summer I (classes start June 4); July 12 for Summer II (classes start July 11); and Aug. 30 for Fall (classes start Aug. 27).
For UTPA, payment is not due at the time of registration. Students should call 665-2715 to find out the payment due date.
Also, UTPA implemented a new program this semester, DegreeWorks, to make registering for classes easier for students. DegreeWorks helps students keep better track of their degree plans and register for the classes they need so they don't end up taking more credits than required to graduate, and can finish school in a timely manner. For more information on the program, contact the Office of the Registrar at 665-2481.
South Texas College's Pecan Campus Student Services in Building K at 3201 West Pecan Blvd., McAllen is open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, May 9, for summer and fall 2012 semester registration.
Students can register for classes, receive advising, take needed placement tests, or pay any fees, tuition or fines. Additionally students can receive assistance with financial aid, including applying for installment plans and emergency loans. For more information, call 872-8311.
