WESLACO – The Weslaco Museum at 500 S. Texas Blvd. will hold a summer camp for young artists ages 10 through 17 throughout the months of June and July. and classes begin on Tuesday, June 18, and run through July 19. Classes will be held Tuesday through Friday from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.
All classes will be taught by a professional artist, and participants will explore a variety of different mediums such as acrylic paint, pencil and charcoal as well as learn new techniques they can implement in their artwork.
Classes include all materials needed for weekly lessons, access to lectures and presentations during class time to supplement the art lessons, and snacks. Registration is necessary due to limited space; register at the museum. Cost each week is $50 per child, or $210.00 for the entire five weeks.
