Everything is ready for the 10th Annual International Food Festival hosted by the McAllen Chamber of Commerce on Thursday, March 24 at the McAllen Convention Center. McAllen Chamber invites visitors to savor fine cuisine from several McAllen and Rio Grande Valley restaurants.
The festival will offer an opportunity for restaurants and caterers to showcase the many delicacies from their menus and promote their businesses. This year’s event will feature over thirty five restaurants serving sample portions of main course items such as Prime Rib, Shrimp, Mexican food, pasta, coffee, desserts and much more. Among the participating restaurants are El Divino, Ahlambra, Cappellinni’s, Palenque Grill, Frida’s, Kumori, Cabritos Nuevo leon, Delia’s, Hooters among many others.
A panel of judges will select the recipients of Best of Show Award in two participating categories. The public attending the event will also have the opportunity to participate in selecting their favorite restaurant for the “People’s Choice Award.”
Every year, a theme is chosen to decorate the exhibitors’ booths and create a fun environment. This year the theme will be based in the Old West and visitors can expect related décor and a live country band playing music, in this case renowned music singer the Tony Perez Band.
It is sure to be an evening of international cuisine and entertainment for the entire family. All you can eat for only $15 per ticket, children under 10 eat free.
